Okay, I’m beginning to get a few too many ‘my favourite EVER!’ bathbombs – because this is definitely one of them. I can have multiple favourites, right?!
I think this has got to be the most magical in terms of its aftermath. Some bathbombs are beautiful but die out quick, some even leave your water a nasty colour after putting on their pretty show (like the Experimenter leaving the water that weird grey, or any bathbomb that leaves it pee colour – no thanks).
This bathbomb left me utterly, utterly transfixed – was my water the midnight sky, complete with twinkling stars, or was it the very depths of the ocean? I did not want to get out of this bath. I tend to have baths where I do something else at the same time – on my phone using social media or prepping blog posts, even setting up my laptop across from me so I can catch up on shows. With intergalactic, there was none of that – no electronic distractions, just too busy enjoying being in this bath. Continue reading
Best Christmas pudding ever?! This is right up there with Twilight for me, in terms of fave bathbombs to date. Boxes it ticks: colourful and mobile, relatively long lasting, super fragrant, leaves skin silky, leaves the water an exciting colour.
This is a lavender delight, priced at £3.95, and, according to the Lush website, it
provides the perfect Christmas dessert for your skin, while the reassuring scent of lavender oil and creamy benzoin resinoid banishes tension and aids relaxation.
Nothing I disagree with! I’ll definitely be buying it again. Here we go ~
Two weekends ago my boyfriend and I ventured to the southeast of England, to see family and to attend his gran’s 80th birthday party. It’s the first time I’ve been to Devon, and the first time I’d seen moors! It was overwhelmingly vast, I’d never really seen landscape like it before – in a way it was almost reminiscent of rural Australia. Dartmoor is Hardy country, and whether it was the power of the moors themselves or the memories of his writing, they felt utterly alive.
– Outfit –
Coat from Target, suedette shorts from New Look, cami from Primark, calf boots from Asos.
I am a Barbie fan, there’s no denying it. She was one of my most played with toys growing up, and I had a lot of her paraphernalia – the car, the dining room, a faux marble bathroom. Being blonde, there’s an instantly relatable factor, plus we both happen to have impeccable taste and love shoes, what can I say.
With Halloween fast approaching, I’m inclined to think of ways that I can use makeup to bring my character a little more to life, rather than relying wholly on a costume. And, with the purchase of a new lipstick, Makeup Revolution’s Ken Will Want Me, Barbie seemed to make a whole lot of sense.
This lipstick is literally Barbie. It is absolutely her colour.
Makeup, judging by my google image research, goes like this:
Lips: defined top and wide bottom, bright pink
Eyebrows: pale brown, soft and gently sloped
Eyes: black winged liner, full lashes, brown liner on bottom, lid defined by a brown line, pink eyeshadow above it
Face: cheeks are lightly pink, face is a full and rounded shape, very light under the eyes, bridge of nose is flat and undefined
It was! I’m pretty smiley about her having a rounded face, I’m down a lot of the time about how round mine is, so good thing I’ve found such a role model at age 22 hey.
Here’s how I attempted to mirror her look –
Lush is Halloween and Christmas ready, and so am I. I currently have 12 lush bath products on call, most of them only recently released (..so, yeah, you’ll be getting a lot of Lush posts).
I decided to try out Star Dust first, which is a white, speckled with blue, star. It’s priced at £2.95 (a pound cheaper than your standard bathbomb), and is sweet-scented.
I did my usual: made a little Vine of the bathbomb’s entry, which you can watch here.
I feel almost obliged to share this, as it was just too good to keep to myself!
